Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing, accessing, or using AllyXRay, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must uninstall the extension and discontinue use immediately.
2. Description of Service
AllyXRay is a Chrome browser extension that scans web pages for accessibility violations based on WCAG 2.1/2.2 guidelines. The Service provides:
- Automated accessibility scanning powered by the axe-core engine.
- Conformance scores at levels A, AA, and AAA.
- Code fix suggestions for identified violations.
- Visual highlighting of accessibility issues on the page.
- Export capabilities (PDF, CSV, JSON) for scan results.
- Local scan history and scheduled re-scans.
3. Plans and Pricing
AllyXRay offers the following plans:
- Free — unlimited scans, local exports, local history, up to 3 cached pages. No account required.
- Pro — all Free features plus cloud sync, unlimited cache, branded PDF reports, and scheduled re-scans. Requires an account and a paid subscription.
Prices are displayed in the extension before purchase. We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers. All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
4. Account and Security
To use Pro features, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the extension beyond what is permitted by law.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- Attempt to circumvent subscription restrictions or access paid features without authorisation.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its associated servers and networks.
- Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the Service without prior written consent.
6. Intellectual Property
The AllyXRay extension, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Star & Cosmos Technologies LTD. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved by the Company.
AllyXRay uses the open-source axe-core library (Deque Systems) under the Mozilla Public License 2.0.
7. Disclaimers and Limitations
AllyXRay is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that accessibility scans will detect all issues or that suggested fixes will resolve all compliance requirements.
AllyXRay is a tool to assist with accessibility auditing. It does not replace professional accessibility testing, manual review, or legal compliance advice. You remain solely responsible for ensuring your websites meet applicable accessibility standards and regulations.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the Service.
8. Subscriptions and Cancellation
- Pro subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time.
- Upon cancellation, you retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period.
- No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
- After your subscription ends, your account reverts to the Free plan. Cloud-synced data is retained for 30 days, after which it may be deleted.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we reasonably believe is harmful to the Service, other users, or the Company. You may terminate your use at any time by uninstalling the extension and, if applicable, cancelling your subscription.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the extension or by email to registered users. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
